Last Week

The discoveries people have found within Lolita have been intriguing, thoughtful and thought provoking. Thanks to all the people who have presented their insights and discoveries.

I have found a couple of small things that I think are interesting.

On page 171 Humbert mentions he never found out what the legal situation was with Lolita. I found this interesting since he was so concerned with possessing her. As a detail oriented man, I would have thought he would make sure she belonged to him.

There is a Dr. Boyd mentioned in Lolita a few times and Brian Boyd, another double, is a scholar of Nabokov, and wrote the introduction in my edition of Speak, Memory.
